Add Feta and bake: Add the block of feta into the center of the cherry tomatoes. To serve, divide among bowls and top with plenty of basil leaves. In a 3 quart casserole dish add the cherry tomatoes, olive oil, salt, pepper, and thyme. Taste, and season with additional salt and pepper, if desired. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook pasta according to boxed instructions. Bake for 25-30 minutes until tomatoes are roasted and feta is soft-melted. Top with 1 tablespoon olive oil and oregano. Set aside and let sit to soften while you prepare the pan. Mix the sauce with pasta, adding the reserved pasta water as needed if it looks a little dry. Add the block of feta cheese to the center of the baking dish. Under cool running water, rinse matzo sheets until they are quite wet. Mash the feta and tomatoes with a fork and mix until evenly combined. Immediately add the garlic and basil leaves to the cooked tomatoes and feta and toss everything to combine. Drain, reserving cup of the cooking liquid in case you'd like to toss it in. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water and then drain the pasta. While the tomatoes and feta are baking, cook the pasta in a pot of salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Bake for about 40 minutes, until the garlic has softened and the tomatoes have burst their skins. Add the block of feta cheese, pour olive oil on top of. Mix well with a wooden spoon and cook until the tomatoes are tender, stirring constantly. Pour in the cherry tomatoes, olive oil, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Reheat a medium to large size pan to medium heat. Place the feta cheese in the center of the tomatoes and garlic, top with the remaining olive oil, and sprinkle the entire dish with red pepper flakes and a little black pepper. How to make baked feta pasta on the stovetop: 1. Sprinkle the black pepper and red-pepper flakes over everything. Sprinkle with some salt and toss to coat. Place the feta in the middle of the dish, and top with the remaining ΒΌ cup olive oil. In a 9-by-13-inch baking dish, combine the tomatoes, garlic and 1/4 cup of the olive oil. Position a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat to 400 degrees.
